Perfect Truck?

You all have to check this out. The ad says it has a CUMMINS but the pics sure doesn't look like one. It also has an Allison transmission. The only fault I can see is that it has Ford stamped on it. Here is the link.

Yes it has a cummins the new cr engine Ford has the contract for this engine in f550 and bigger. I believe that is why DC is trumping the competition and going to the new 6. 7 l cummins in 07 they are going to get into the 450 550 class medium duty truck market as I understand,so they got in 1 step ahead of competition with the bigger cummins.

fodr has been using cummins for many years in medium duty aplications. and lots of allisons attatched as well. now if there was only a light duty similar

Don't know what you would do with that truck - too high to pull a 5er or try to haul anything in the bed. Don't think they make a bumper pull trailer big enough to need that much truck.

They make pretty stout pintle hitch trailers that you need a truck like that to pull.



There are a lot of other applications out there that run B cummins with allisons behind school buses come to mind that I have worked on.
