“Perform Service”

2010 6.7 Cummins 96,xxx miles. I just rolled past 96,000 miles and got the “perform service” displayed in the dash. I had no check engine light, or any codes. Is this the ccv filter again? I just changed it at 67,500. Is there any other way to tell what it is or should I change the ccv filter again? The truck just completed a regen according to my Edge Insight.

That's the message for the CCV filter. You may have one that is soaked already and the pressure sensor is showing too little flow.

Plugged filter will set a crankcase pressure excessive code.

I went back out to my truck today and put the key in the on position. I pulled codes and didn’t have any. The message to perform service was also gone. Not sure what the issue is or was.

Quick update…. I never got a code for a ccv restriction. I ordered a new ccv filter and replaced it. The perform service has gone away since then.
