Attention!!!!

ive had hurst hot shift in my truck(in sig) and i like it alot its real good.

it got me to wondering tho, how come i haven't heard of some of the people here using hot shift or trick shift from b&m or idk any others that might be out there just looking into it maybe i missed something

as for my truck i like it alot made the shifts real firm and the transmission very responsive.

anyways thoughts and opinions please and maybe its a thought to use it in one of these engines idk how it will hold up in the high hp applications since mine is a puny 185 stock hp

I remember when the HP trans fluids came out. Before that we used "Ford type F" fluid to get firmer shifts. About the only difference I could see between the high dollar HP fluids and type F was bragging rights... that and seeing the look on people's faces when you showed them your GREEN trans fluid!

On the newer transmissions, I would use straight Dexron III. It gives better shifts than factory fluid... besides being about the cheapest and easiest thing to find on the market.

well the trick shift syn we got for my cousins pickup was about 4 bucks a qt(clearnece) but the hot shift was about the same as the normal stuff

as for the dexron mercon if its the stuff im thinking it is then it doesn't work as well but yeah cheaper since it was for our forklift and didn't cost me anything. but i don't think it worked as well

im glade for the responses for i have only tried the 2. probably not good but have had three types of fluid in the year that ive owned the truck anyways i don't have much experience w/ atf since almost all our vehicals are standard i don't understand what all goes into the fluid and the transmission. least i don't understand it as well as i understand the oil which is limited. so thanks this will help expand my base
