I'm curious how much improvement (if any) in fuel economy those of you who are running with performance boxes have seen. Doesn't matter what brand you're running, just post your before and after MPG, towing and empty. Many of you will have made additional BOMBs at the same time that you installed a box, so if you have numbers with just the box, use those.

Before EZ-Edge. . empty no towing... ... 22 mpg

with edge EZ ..... empty no towing... ... 22 mpg

See sig for truck description

Only mods are Air Raid box and Flowmaster.

I'm running the TST PMCR and I think there is a mileage improvement. I say I "think" because I'm getting exactly the same mileage for two tanks now.

That may sound funny, but I just can't keep my foot out of it now :).

In all honestly I really tried to run it 1/1 for a full tank to see what the best possible mileage gain would be, but that was just impossible. I would be sitting at a light and think to myself "I wonder what 4/4 feels like. "

So the best I can offer you is... lots more power, lots more right foot action, same mileage.

514 mile trip

Before Edge EZ = 19. 9

With EZ Level 4 = 21. 3

This was running between 70 and 75 mph.

Weather and ambient temps same on both trips.

I couldn't have said that any better. If I were willing to turn it down to 1:1 (tming only, no additional fuel) I think it would be better. How much I can't say. Like was stated above way more power, same mileage. Must be doing something right. :D

I'll be getting a VA in a few days, I keep good records so I'll be able to tell you something in a few weeks. Loaded and empty.

Stay tuned,

FIREMAN,Hey are you getting the new VA smart box with 130 hp or the 65 hp. I was thinking of getting the new box and stacking it with the E-Z. I would start off with both box"s set at the medium settings.

You'll find your mileage drops intially (all that power and no were to go so you foot compensates for the added power) then its starts creeping back up. My Edge-EZ is on level 4 (new style after 12-03). So impressive even the wife notices the difference.

Its out right now getting replaced due to a connection problem. The MAP sensor likes to get disconnected.

Getting better, but....

Mileage on my wife's rig is getting better (17 mpg before, 19. 3 mpg after). I think a big part of it is the motor getting broken in. She has just over 24K miles.

Pulling my jeep and trailer (6000 lbs) stock- 16. 8 at 65-70 mph.

same load with the EZ set on level 3 or 4 - 18. 7 at 70-75 mph.

There is a big difference with and without the box. Loaded is almost like pulling the trailer empty with the EZ hooked up. Stock it drops down out of over drive on long hills (which is the biggest cause of my mileage difference). With the EZ hooked up the truck just honkers down and pulles all hills in OD and doesn't complain at all.

My box was returned to edge (lost power) and it is killing me :( ... . It should be back soon... .

I had to tow this weekend without it and this was the first time I don't enjoy my trip, since I have been spoiled with all that extra torque... don't get me wrong it towed fine, just had to hit the tow button a couple of times on the big hills..... I like the lazyness of the extra power, just setting the cruise and kicking back...
