if i wanted to get big horsepower what kind of performance chip would i get.

You'll have to fill out your sig. so we know how to help you. What year truck, stick/auto, etc. Do you want just a plug and play or tap the pump wire? TST boxes are known for big power and can be stacked with an Edge EZ for even more. I run the Edge comp and am very happy with it. Has in-cab adjustability and has impressive numbers too. Let us know the details of your truck and what you're looking to acheive and others will jump in. Some guys idea of big hp maybe 450 while others are in the 700's . You will likely need more than a chip for serious power :-laf . Good luck!

We Don't Use No Stinken Chips!!!!

MH, The Dodge/ Cummins doesn't use A Prom Chip in their ECU/PCM's. Therefore you can't change the "chip". Most of the Performance upgrades are done with either "Fueling Boxes" or\or a "Download" to the Cummins ECU. That being said, Welcome to the TDR. You need to include a Signature stating just what your truck is and what it has, as far as the Year, Transmission ect... I am assuming that you have a 24 Valve 2nd Gen. and that you are interested in that truck. Read the Sticky at the top of the 24 Valve 2nd Gen Forum.

At the bottom of the list is a Guide for upgrading the 24 Valve non Common Rail Engine. 1st order of business is Gages, make sure that you have a Fuel Pressure Gage!!! Do not let the Fuel Pressure drop below 6psi, No Matter What!!! Bad things will happen to your VP44 injection pump, if you do :{ Read the TDR forums for all the rest of the Info. You need to filter the Info, as 50 people write about a topic you will get 50 different awnsers! Most will fall pro one way and the rest the other.
