Competition 2008 Alcan5000 Rally - Course Is Set

Competition "bubbling" oil around the top of arp head stud nuts?

Hey what do you guys think about the 6. 7 for performance? Has anyone played with these new engines yet? I wonder if you straight piped it and got rid of the DPF, you could run normal diesel through it.

I just test drove a new 2500 6. 7 liter with the 6 spd auto and was not impressed with the performance. Hit the go pedal and nothing really happened. The exhaust brake and trany seemed to work good though, really liked the manual gear selection option.

Almost be cheaper to put the block on a p-pumped engine, than vice cersa. . Unless you were buying a 6. 7 already.

I'd rather have a 1998. 4 6. 7L P-pumped truck, rather than a 2008 6. 7L P-Pumped truck...

not for long. . you get a new tier 3 diesel engine in off road equipment and it needs the same fuel requirements as a tier 3 on road engine. .

red fuel is just that. fuel dyed red. .

Don M has had an injector for awhile now for the 6. 7 in the C&C I would guess it would work in the pickup version too.

Well I had the complete opposite impression, I drove test drove an 07 auto cab and chassis, you know the detuned one, I was very impressed, it was quick, very responsive, no turbo lag. I walked away telling myself I can wait another year or two :D oh and the tow haul and exhaust brake? Forget about it, that combo was nothing short of awesome. Last but not least, the salesman has it going on too, he's ordered like three different beds for these rigs with storage compartments and gooseneck set ups. I better shut up, I'm getting excited again Oo.
