How much more performance,if any can you get from advancing your timing. Will you have problems with EGT or to much boost for the stock turbo, already pushing 36 PSI.

Thanks,

Keith

I was told that increasing the timing on my 95 would give me 10 or 15 hp. I have never dyno my truck as I can only tell you that the fuel economy was the biggest thing that I noticed. I went from 15. 5 to 19. 5 or so. How ever that would depend on what the base timing is. I have ran a lot of timing and backed the timing down to 17 or 17. 5 and did not see any difference in mileage. I don't have a big fuel plate, #6 slid all the way and stock injectors. I have never had a head gasket problem. I thought that timing was the best bang for the buck as far a mileage. lol Jim

With as little fuel as you have, you shold just set the timing around 17-18*. Get some 370's in that beast and bump it up to around 20 or so. Good power, and it flattens your curve out in the upper RPMs, runs good up top, real smooth.
