Actually, everyone should get gauges first. Even though I am sort of stock, no chip, my EGTs will be too high to shut down, if you go by the 300 pre-turbo mark. If I am in a level parking lot, no problem, by the time I get into a space, it is below the 300* mark, but coming up my driveway, a slight hill, it will climb to 400*, just letting it idle up. Sometimes it takes a couple or three minutes to get down to 300*. The only performance mod I have as yet, is the aFe filter. Does seem to drop running EGTs about 50-100 degrees by itself.
