i would like to know what the best performance mod are out for the 03 2500. I am not very mechanical and so the easier to install the better

so if there is package that includes everything for the engine to the exhaust and not seperate kits for seperate systems, that would be great.

Exhaust will be separate from the engine because it's hard to plug in a computer chip or something for the exhaust.

I think the most popular mods are a computer chip (several models available, do a search). One person around here, I forget who, has done a complete doctoral research paper on the pros/cons of all the available fueling boxes. It's rather good reading if you have the time and are doing some mods.

The next mod would be exhaust. The next would be an open element air filter of some type.

Understand, the very first one, or shortly after the others, you should have some sort of gauges to monitor the engine/transmission/ whatever you want to watch.

Follow some of the threads and you'll get a hang of what people are using and whether or not they like their stuff.

Welcome to the TDR!

Best advice for a new guy is to read all you can, and when you get done use the search function to read up on the topics that interest you and then you will have more info than you can read in a week.

Again welcome to TDR

Actually, everyone should get gauges first. Even though I am sort of stock, no chip, my EGTs will be too high to shut down, if you go by the 300 pre-turbo mark. If I am in a level parking lot, no problem, by the time I get into a space, it is below the 300* mark, but coming up my driveway, a slight hill, it will climb to 400*, just letting it idle up. Sometimes it takes a couple or three minutes to get down to 300*. The only performance mod I have as yet, is the aFe filter. Does seem to drop running EGTs about 50-100 degrees by itself. The post you are looking for on the different chips, or fueling boxes is by Dleno. Do a search for his posts and you should find a very good write-up on how each box does it's thing. Sorry I can't find it right off to link here, but I am sure someone else can.
