Just saw this new product from Dr. Performance in the newest issue of the TDR. I know he's not too well liked, but the HP numbers caught my eye.

"4 levels of increased power to choose from in 1 box"

Level 1 adds 30 HP
Level 2 adds 60 HP
Level 3 adds 100 HP
Level 4 adds 200 HP

$795. 00

Nothing on his web page yet: http://www.drperformance.com/

The numbers for that price are very impressive but I would have to see proof from them.

30-60-100-200? Boy,those numbers are steep. I don't have my mag yet,but is the DR claiming to get an extra 200hp while still using the stock injectors? I can't imagine forcing an additional 200hp worth of fuel (for a total of about 400hp) through the stock injector nozzles. There's got to be more to it than that. (I smell overrating claims) #ad

Does he make the same claims with this box that he has in the past? That he adds all this power without going beyond the factory fueling level and does it without raising EGT's? I'm looking forward to getting my magazine to read this ad!

Whoa. 1500*F !!
I thought 1200 was melt down.
So, Apperantly I was wrong. .
What is "meltdown" or "Critical" engine EGT temperatures?

101, normal melting point for aluminum is right at 1440 degrees, but Cummins makes these pistons out of an aluminum alloy so the melt down may be upwards of 1600 degrees... . Pete

Hiperf360's old 12 valve truck would peg a 1600EGT(and make a 35PSI autometer boost gauge point straight down) guage in nothing flat. That truck could see 1600+ 5 to 10 times a cruise night, depends on what was cruising... the ole diesel had a very good kill ratio lol. Anyways we also raced a Honda down I-35 pulling a mustang on an open trailer and a cab full of people and won, EGT guage pegged the whole time. I don't know what will kill these things really. I posted something about EGTs and broken parts about a month ago. . do a search maybe

I would be very curious to see the EGT's with a 200hp fueling box, I have the Edge hot box and my EGT's go through the roof. I can hit 1500 very quickly. Mind you I also have the TTPM and the Super Mental injectors. But without the Edge I can't make the EGT's come over 1100. So I know the Edge makes them shot up with only 100hp so what would 200hp do?
