I Would Like To Bring Up And Old Question For Some New Input. . I Would Like Some Input On Dr. Performance Stage 3... How Does The Product Work And Has Anyone Had Any Bad Experience????? All Input Would Be Very Helpful... Also This Would Be My First Upgrade...



I Put My First Set Of Gauges On My Truck And They Work Great And Look Great. . Could Not Have Done Them With Out All The Members Input That I Read On Tdr. Thanks For All The Info. .

Quoted right off the Dr. performance website:

"With the Dr. Performance! system, there is no need to add a pyrometer to monitor your exhaust gas temperature"



I have never tried one of there products, But that just does not seem right to me... I think every preformance diesel shop would recommend an EGT monitor regardless of the amount of HP the chip adds. Because of that I would not put one on my truck, who knows that kind of PSI they are making in the rail!

You can go with Dr. Performance if you want, however, if you read this forum and other, you will find your money could be better spent. In other words, more HP for your $, or less $ for the HP you are looking for.

Don't know anything about the Stage III, I had an early DR P Stage II for 04. 5 600. It made power alright, but made the truck idle and run very rough all the time. I have sinse tried 5 different performance boxes and none of them made the engine sound that bad on any setting. It did not stay on very long.
