Periodic rough idle. When in this problem, the engine is very sluggish.

If you haven't changed the fuel filter I would start there.

Ed, have you ever changed your fuel filter? It's probably high time to do it if you haven't yet. If it's restrictive it may be causing your problem. When did it start?



You profile says you've been a member since May 2002 but you've only posted once?



Welcome to TDR, it's nice to see a Gilliland on the board. My grandpa Gilliland had a diesel-powered John Deere tractor which probably gave me the diesel bug

try a fuel additive like stanadyne

I changed the fuel filter. It seems better but the problem is still there. I added Lucas fuel additive. Still have the same problem. I don't have a check engine light so a code reader won't tell me anything. Right? Could it be the oxygen sensor? Or would that give me a check engine light?
