Is there a new feature?

I notice that the post numbers are now links, and next to the post number is the word Permalink, which is also a link.

I was going to click it, but I chickened out :-laf

It's a change to help with rankings in the search engines (google, yahoo, etc) and to improve search results on same.

So what does it do?

It's for the search engines. It has to do with the way that they crawl pages and grab links, etc. The software takes text off the page and puts it into the url and also into the meta tags for the page. By doing that people searching for things on google, yahoo, etc will be more likely to find their way to the TDR site. The permalink link is a link to that specific post on that thread and that will now get crawled as well and show up on the search engines. It's all about getting placed higher on searches and relevant pages being able to be found easier. It won't do much of anything for you guys that are already here

I didn't. Just makes the clicked post align to the top of the screen.
