I recently viewed a conversion company that put a trimmed peterbilt on your pickup truck chassis. I could not find a phone number to talk to these guys. They do thier conversions in the Columbus, Ohio area. Has anyone heard of this company?:--)

They used to do that near me in Bourbonnais, IL. The company was called "Lil' Big Rigs" if I remember right. Haven't seen any of those rigs there anymore, and I think they moved or closed?? Maybe they moved to Columbus, OH?:)

Thanks JFitzgerald,

I'm sure one of our Cololumbus, Ohio members will locate this conversion placeOo. for me.

Think of the next Cummins Diesel truck event--------------------

Someone pulls into the fairgrounds with two fully chromed fire breathing stacks, spinning those 19" polished aluminum wheels with a 1,000 lbs of torque, a huge Dodge Ram on both doors of that Mini Peterbilt Pickup truck. ---

BIG BOYS TOYS !!!

Some people can really dream BIG!

How about seeing that truck pull the sled 300+ feet?

I saw another one this past week... . it was red and had a F*rd 8' bed on the back. I saw it on 81-S in PA (between 84 and 80) on Tuesday AM... .

It said "Auto Craft" or something like that on the door...

Sorry for being so vague, but it's hard to pick out the details when you're travelling down the freeway in the opposite direction.

I want one!

Matt

THAT'S THE TRUCK I SAW!!!!

Nice!

978 area code?... . that's my area code!!

Time for more research!

Matt

On edit: Here's the address of this place... .

Auto Craft Enterprises

47 Middlesex Rd

Tyngsboro, MA 01879

I'm REAL close to them here at work (less than 12 miles!!)... . maybe I can arrange an after-hours visit! :D

peterbilt conversion

HoleshotHolset,

Let me know if they have a brochure or $price$ option list. This isn't the company I read about in the Columbus area but its a start. I really want the Peterbilt version. Can you ask if they do a Peterbilt conversion with sleeper & pickup bed behind it? Length isn't an issue.

A field trip complete with photos would be an ideal ticket for the rest of us. Go for it guys!

Oo.

I've been upt to his shop, he was selling some 4bt's a while back, he has a mold for the downsized peterbuilt front end. You can buy just the front end or he will build a truck, when I was there he was building one, he has one he drives also, on a modified bakery style truck frame, they are pretty cool, he is a great knowledgable guy as well...

do they also or have they done a MACK R-600? i have seen one of these with what looks like a ford dually bed on it... ... . its out of vernon, Ct.

Well, since I'm the closest (when I'm at work... . ) I guess I'll have to go on over there and talk to the guy... :D

I talked to his wife on the phone last week... . she seemed cool and said that I could come by after work some night.

I'll see what I can get out of him for prices/availability... .

I want a Peterbilt 359 or 379... . but any Class-8 truck with a big long nose will suffice! It'll either be a Pete or a Kenworth..... I like 'em both.

Matt

That's what I want... . a Pete 359 with a big long nose... . and of course a small sleeper..... that way I can have the extended cab that never was available in '94! :D
