Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Petro Canada Duron 5W-40 ????

Local oil distributor stopped carrying Mobil products and is now offering Duron 5W-40 as a substitute for Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40.



Anybody know anything about it?



Price looks good at $52. 76 for a case of 4 - 4 litre bottles, comparable to the new Rotella at Wal Mart.



Getting ready to make the switch to synthetic and checking out the options.

I use it in my truck. Works OK for me although I haven't sampled it yet-this time honest! . Dunno really what to tell you about it-I moved to it from a mineral 15W40 mainly for winter flowability although I am going to run it year round. I don't think it's quite the equal of Delvac 5W40-but at least up here it's quite a bit cheaper.....
