Phone Mount

I was looking for a decent phone mount that wouldn’t block A/C vent and would securely mount my phone. I bought a couple from https://coursemotorsports.com/collections/dodge I know they aren’t cheap but I believe they mount securely. I wish I had seen they had Durango mounts as well. Here’s the one in my Ecodiesel. Obviously its time to do a bit of cleaning in my truck.

I made a cheesy wood mount but it works fine for when I want to use my phone for nav. I pulled the plastic insert as shown above and double back taped in place.

I’ve used proclip for years in all my rigs, but not my 18. I just don’t like any of their options.

With CarPlay my phone is often inside the console anyways.

I rode motorcycles for many years with Ram mounts on my bars, more than one crash and never lost my phone. Simple stud to a coupling nut and I came up with this.

I have the Pro-Clip that mounts in the same tray, but it holds the phone high and in the center. I like the one the OP has, but I'm not sure the cost of switching is worth it. I'd have bought the Course Motorsports version for sure if I had seen it first!

Well I went ahead and ordered on of these, pretty happy with it so far. My only concern is the strength of the magnet. It holds just fine driving around town, just not sure if it will work with any kind of rough roads or fire roads. One huge plus is that it is really a clean mounting system. The Proclip I had in the same tray, sits right in the middle of the tray and eliminates any use of the tray. This one is off to the side and you can still set a pair of glasses in the tray. Its pretty slick!
