Phone not linking

When I tried to link up my new Galaxy phone, it would not transfer my contact list so I can't call out. Dealer says sorry you're screwed.

What is the year of the truck.

What system does your truck has for an information system: IE such as APPLE CAR PLAY or something similar.

My wife's 2021 Santa FE has Apple car play (Android WORKS ALSO) whenever there is an issue with the phone not linking up, it tends to be the phone that is causing the issues. Try to open any APPS and the general settings in the phone to see if something is turned off and should be on. Also turn your phone off and on. Delete the phone from your truck's information system and then trying to pair the phone to your truck information system again, to see if that helps.

I don't know on the android phones but with the apple phones you need to swipe down and see if the Bluetooth is turn on. It is not in the general settings but in the swipe down screen on some apple phones. This sometimes will cause an issue in linking up.

Bluetooth settings of the phone must allow sharing of contacts with the given application.
This is not by default and must be set for each paired device new.

Probably the phone. I have noticed if I’m in a built up area my phone will automatically connect to wifi and disconnect from it not connect to the truck. Once I get out of the area it works fine. For me it’s the same few places.

Search for Permissions Manager, then go to Comtacts and see what's in the list.

You may need to unpair then readd the phone, there is a pop up on the phone that comes up and asks for permission to access the contacts after you pair.
