So close - and yet so far.



All that werk under the front end - and they didn't even hook a drive shaft to the bloody thing!



2wd Duallys = next to helpless.

Must be cheaper than making a seperate plug eh? Or even a completely diff 2wd spindle arrangement!



Must mean that the 4wd option isn't substantially more? Or at least they are expecting to sell a good % of 4 wheelers!



Wouldn't have wanted to have a 2wd this day! A foot of snow came down early Nov when we were aboot 60-65 klicks from pavement.

Its for the high GVWR on the C&C as a solid axle, and yes its cheaper than developing a new axle, makes sense to me. Remember the 1500 Mega Cab is on a 2500 setup and frame, due to the extra stress on the frame.

I have already pulled the photos offline for the chassis cab and replaced them with my 07" dually. SORRY

To try to retro fit the 07. 5's single piece drive shaft in their 07 and older truck?

No - it was a 12,500# GVW 2wd 3500 / Cummins 6 speed auto - and I think it was a Crew Cab too with a tag reading $32K.



The point was that everything from the ball joints out was the same as a 4wd model - just had an empty tube (read straight axle) between them. So a 4wd unit would slide in there as easy as welding a pumpkin in the tube and stretching a drive shaft to it.



He had OODLES of shots of the cataletic convertor - or whatever their calling it. ???



I guess I missed the actual werding and meaning of his first post. I thought he said/meant that his pics would be up IN a few more days - not that they would only be up FOR a few more dayz. Shoulda saved some I guess... .

Ok, I'm glad I wasn't the only one feeling a little lost. I couldn't figure out what all the 2WD talk was about. Now I understand.
