2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Piaa vs. Hella

Its time for a bit more light on the front of my 01. I have looked around on this site but to no avail. I am wondering what everyone thinks of aftermarket piaa or hella lights? I don't space for the factory fog lights and the cut outs are used with my brush guard so I'm wondering what kind of lights I should use? I think ill mount them in the brush guard and I can go up to about 6. 5 inches and I'm trying to keep the light housings round. So the question is... What kind of lights and why? Thanks!

PIAA is if you want a designer label with your lights, Hella is if you want a workhorse. They're both good, but I'd go Hella every time.

You did not ask about KC but I like my KC setup on my 2011



KC light bar, 2 Rally 800 - 130w driving lights, plus 2 HID 50W 8'' lights. Combined works really great.



On my 2005 Ford Excursion I had 2 PIAA 520 ATP and 2 PIAA 520 Driving and was happy with them but not overly so.



On my 2005 Dodge I have 4 Baja Designs Soltek 8'' lights and LOVED them



I've had Hella's 15 years ago and was happy about them for the price...

Well I posted on your other same subject thread, but it looks like tis is the one with legs...

IMO, Hella is the real deal... they have been making quality oem and aftermarket lights for both Euro and American cars for a LONG time. Anyway you cut it, you can't go wrong with Hella.

While PIAA does make a few nice products (for instance their super silicone wiper blades), the reviews they get on the quality of thier lighting and build are often mixed.

That being said, just about ANYTHING is better then the stock lighting on these trucks!!
