Picked mine up yesterday

Decided to finally make the move. Picked up a 2010 2500 crew cab 6 speed manual slt big horn edition yesterday. Wow is this a nice truck. Kinda hard to compare since I was going from a 95 regular cab. Its been raining here for days, will get some pics up if the sun ever decides to come out.

Congrats on the new rig. I'm going this week to 3 local dealers to hammer out pricing on the same truck, just upping ante to Laramie. How long for delivery (assume it was ordered due to std trans) and what kind of % off MSRP were you able to get?

Took 3 days to hammer out a price. Took me until I turned 40 to get my first ever NEW truck. Wasnt even really shopping for one when the wife and I stopped, just to look. They happened to have the exact truck I wanted. Black, crew cab, manual... I was getting pretty used to the "walk up and look into the window, nope... its an automatic, keep looking" and this one suprised me. It was dealer stock, just came off the truck that morning. They had 2 manual trans. there, the other was a long bed plain jane white one.

Was able to get them to 30% under msrp. Traded my 95 which had 272000 on it. Now I just have to figure out how to get the wife to let me drive every once in a while... lol

Now to source some accessories... . nerf bars, bug shield, and mudflaps. Salesman said to contact him directly to get them from mopar, cant find anything out there yet for the 2010s except through mopar.

Just ordered a new 2010 2500 Ram laramie, 4x2 crew cab,8ft bed,slate leather bucket seats with 3. 73 rear end. Deal says 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Deal gave me a tracking number so I can track it through the building process and shipping so i will know exactly when it will arrive. Cant wait its getting harder to cram the family in the back of my extended cab.

30% off MSRP is amazing. I should be so lucky on a special order. I must be from the land of woosies. Have never seen a manual trans on any lot. My dealer has (17) 2500SLT's on his lot, no sticks. He just offered 0% financing to move them. Had to bale on GM and Ford. They don't even offer man tran. I have to get my Cummins before the Guvmint outlaws them altogether. Good luck to all driving their 2010's.

Congrats. I hope my new one will be here in another 5 or 6 weeks. How long did it take from order to delivery? Were you able to track the building process?
