Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Just thought I'd let all the BHAF shoppers know about the deal I got on one today. I stopped at Cummins Mid-South (Memphis) this afternoon just to inquire about the filter and to see if they had one and how much they would charge. I assumed that they would still have to order one and I figured it would cost upwards of $60 from the other reports on here.
They had one in stock and it cost me $39. 84. It was the genuine Fleetguard AH-19037. I think that's just about as cheap as you can get one. I was absolutely shocked at how BIG this thing is. I had only seen pictures of one and the pictures just don't do this thing justice. It is huge!
I'm gonna wait to put in on until I get a heat shield, an Outerwears prefilter, and maybe some sort of of Mallory mount or a variant. I kinda want something that will set the filter up off the fender well a bit just to get the full effect. It probably won't make any difference though.
Anyway, just thought I'd let folks know that you can still get one cheap and the folks at Mid-South will do you right. I think I'll check and see if I could get a Red Cummins Valve cover next to complement the red outerwears that I'm gonna get.
