I have received many e-mails on where to get a list of all available options for the new Ram Truck. So I will try to explain the Dodge web site as it can be somewhat hard to navigate, depending on the speed of your computer it will take about 15 min. to complete.

As far as options, go to: http://www.dodge.com/

From that page go to shop and buy, move cursor over to price/compare go down to build/price click on it. Move mouse to Ram Trucks, (pick one) click on build/price, enter your zip code, choose model features, i. e. :3/4 ton, 4x4,quad cab, etch. , be sure only one box is checked in each area. click on continue, then click on the radio button for the truck you want, at this point if you then click on view model in detail a list of standard options will come up for the model you selected. Now choose view special offers, that will give you the rebate for YOUR zip code. Click continue, & choose #4 for choose options, that will take you to the options list. Choose the additional options you want for the model you selected, if you click on any groups highlighted in red it will show a list of what is in the group and or a picture, hit recalculate to update the running total cost for your truck, when done with options go to pick color, now pick the colors and the interior, hit recalculate or continue, from this screen you can print the vehicle you built and have the MSRP and the rebate, also if you click on any of the red bars it will take you back to that area to make any changes.

Hope this helps. Call me toll free if you have any questions.

It is not hard and is kind of fun to see all the options that are available for the different models.

Or you can call me toll free and I can price it out for you in about ten minutes.

I also give TDR Members a special deal!

BUTT, George, it wont

let me build the one I want w/ Almond. As soon as I pick almond it deletes the ho/etc and removes the last 3 colors. atlantic blue, graphite, almond. Also, when I add the tow pkg to the ho it reverts back to the v8 (and I dont like juice). Nice tha the site give the info but it gets hard to build it the way you want when it refuses to let you tow with the ho but gives you an 8????? I found some work arounds and ignored the rest. Currently Dodge includes the remote entry with the sentry but before it was a seperate option... more ways to confuse us :p :p   !!

I agree it is not simple, I tried the Almond, HO, tow and it worked.

There are so many possible combinations including gas trucks that it gets confusing as h*** Who knows!!

The order screen I use is much easier to use and when I push the "ORDER" button wallah! a bright shinny truck arrives just like I ordered it!!!!

Not quite that fast though... ... ... ... . ;)

I just tried to build one with the SRW group 3500. No go the option is not even listed anymore. Is that no longer available? I found it in the short bed extended cab but not long bed extended cab. This is relly bad, I wanted to get LWB SRW.

I did not try to build SWB SRW 3500 on the Dodge site so I do not know what happened, but they are still available.

I can price one out the way you want it if you like. Call me or send me an e-mail with your want list.

Elite!, I'd find a dealer that knows what he is talking about! We drove a 3500 SRW lb HO with 48RE last week--what an awesome truck! Rides better than our current rig. I did my pricing at www.edmunds.com. Found it better than the Dodge site and it lists the invoice price along side the MSRP. You purchase from the invoice, not the MSRP anyway!

2003 3500 SRW 3. 73, 48RE, Quad, LB to be ordered soon

Chrome Carbook

My favorite and easiest-to-use vehicle configuration tool is Chrome. You usually can only get to it via a financial institution. But it only shows the 3500 LB available in DRW.

Here is the link I got via my local Gesa Credit Union, click on "Web Car Book" (scroll down to bottom of screen):

If you try to go to webcarbook.com directly, it will not work.

Linda, I went to the Edmonds site you refered, but they don't list a 3500,srw,LB,4 door. :(

I have their print out in front of me--just sending my info to the fleet dealer at our local Dodge store. The basic truck is a DRW, the SRW is a deduct option, AR9. I did this print out on 2/29, but it was there then! SRW is a -$1,235 MSRP, -$1,087 Invoice.

Linda

On Edmunds, the SRW used to be a deduct option on the DRW price list. I have not gone back recently to check if it is still that way.

Both dodge.com and edmunds.com list the 3500 LB SRW as an option of the dually (option code AR9 Single Rear Wheel Group). For the member who was losing colors like Almond when selecting, that's a glitch in the dodge.com website. Almond, Atlantic Blue, and Graphite are only available on 3500 SRW, but since the 3500 LB is considered a dually first and the SRW an option, those colors drop off incorrectly. The 3500 SB SRW is a standalone model, so no such problem exists there.

I just configured the truck you want in Almond.

Sent you an e-mail.

Whoever you called, JUST does not know how to work the order screen.

I can e-mail you the actual invoice that I configured for you.

Thanks

On the dealers 'puter last week

I could config the way I want it but the Dodge site started dropping the color/tow about a month ago. Mine is a 3500/QC/SRW/LB/4x2/SLT and as long as the dealer gets it ordered I really dont care what the Dodge site does. It gives the MSRP & codes, but I used the other sites for Invoice price and then made my offer. Did finally talk the SO into the side bags :).

Also, using the AAA (think they use Edmonds) build, it shows the DRL's are a fleet option (I know, only in Canada are they avail - but it makes them look like you can get them if your buying fleet). Wish they were avail as a "std" so I dont have to convert the fogs to DRL's. Insurance savings & safety are the only reasons for the conversion. Another point, the remote keyless entry was separate before, now its part of the Sentry option.

Some other questions that may not be answered here; hows the brake dust with the new disks, do we need to get the Kleen Wheels (and if so I wonder when they gonna be avail in 17")? And is the spare a match for the other 4 tires if you order different tires (like a 4x4 takes the on/off road option - is the spare a match or just a "std" tire)? I guess with the longer rear springs, the camper pkg was deleted, but still like to have a sway bar there - oh well :{.

Thanks for being around to answer us questions "Dodge Sales". It means a lot to have someone who is willing to assist w/o renumeration (other than the satisfaction that more will be happy with their order). GOOD JOB!!!

\\BF//

What was a camper package is now a 3500 SRW. They put a sway bar on the front. The new frame is so stiff, it is apparently not needed in the rear.

Thanks for the comment:D

I try to lessen the confussion when I can, with over ten years in this business, "even a blind squril finds a nut once in a while" LOL

Thanks again
