I am gonna purchase the Cummins Mudflaps from the Cummins Power store http://www.powerstore.cummins.com/cgi-bin/powerstore.pl?store=apparel&category=Tools_of_the_Trade

They are about 2/3 down the page. They come in 2 sizes 24"x 30" or 24"x 36". I know I will need to modify them slightly to kind of mold to the bottom of the dually fender. So what size would be better for a 4x4? And has anyone done something similar that can give advice on the best way to fabricate a mounting system or just cut'em and screw'em?

I have some Pro-flap mudflaps that are brand new if your interested. I think the company is now called duraflap now but they are really good mudflaps. I am not going to use them because i have decided to not do mudflaps anymore. If your interested PM me i will send you pics. Like i said THEY ARE BRAND NEW, I have all the hardware

Just installed the dura flaps last weekend. #10ss on rear, #7ss on the front. Really like them although I had to run to the hardware store for longer stainless screws, and I wanted nylock nuts instead of lockwashers. The company says "no drill", but you do have to drill the plastic wheel liner--no big deal. They look nice on the dually--now for the naked lady weights to reclaim the truck from my wife.

Did you have any trouble with the front flaps? I just tried to install mine but the hardware that came with it did not match. I did do the rear no problems but not sure what to do with front. Any input would be greatly appreaciated. :--)

I used new hardware from the store on the front flaps. A total of three points of connection. The fender has 2 holes. Those two hole I used the supplied clips and bolts. Then I added the third hole through the liner and mudflap and attached using a 1/4-20 stainless screw and nylock nut and washer.

The flaps came with a bunch of hardware for different trucks. The metal clips that the instructions show clipping on to the plastic liner, I actually clipped on to the metal instead.

This is hard to explain, I will try to post some pics later today--I have not yet been successful posting pics, but I will give it another shot.

I wasn't able to post pics on this thread. My 3 mpxl camera even on the lowest res is too big a file. I was able to post some pics on Readers rigs. The picture with my hand in it shows the clip between the flap and the sheet metal. Slip the clip on to the fender metal instead of the plastic fender liner. The last (lowest) hole I simply drilled a hole through the liner and flap and used a new screw, washers and nylock nut. Drill the hole from the backside(get under the truck), and you will be able to hit the bottom of the liner.

Hope this helps--any other questions--don't hesitate to ask. It took a little improv to get the flaps on, but I really like the way they turned out. :)

Doug, I bought the 36" ones from the Cummins store and put them on my srw 2500. They look and work great. If anyone wants to put these on their srw, go to my readers rigs and I have a pattern you can print out to cut them to fit.

For a drw, I would probably go with the 36" unless your truck sits really low.
