Picking up My New 2005 Today!

I will be picking up my new 2005 CTD 6 speed Quad Cab Dually today after work! Oo. I am very siked! MSRP 37820, my price 31750. Don't think I did too bad on the price. Dealer got her in Monday, but it has been a long week getting to a point where I could go get her. I will update my sig tomorrow.

Congrats on the new truck and price. Im on my 2nd 3rd gen truck. Other than ball joints, I love the truck. My guess is you will not sleep tonight unless you recline the driver seat. Dont get any food on the seats during dinner as you wont want to leave the truck alone! :-laf

Got it! It had 8 miles on it when I picked it up last night. It now has 97 miles on it. The overhead says 17. 0 MPG. That sounds really good too! Oo.



I am falling in love with the truck!

17 mpg. . Hmmm, must have been all freeway downhill :-laf . Some do it on the first tank. Mine didnt but Ive seen some that claim 30 + mpg at 80 mph. I had a 04 that actually got 21mpg on the first tank which was all highway. It went down to settle out at 16 in town and 18 on the highway. . Unloaded. My 600 is spoiled. At highway only last weekend 65mph w/cruise control I got a hand calculated 16. 8 and the over head claimed 17. 2. In town, I got 13. 5 and the overhead said 16. 1. I always do my own filling at the pump and get it right to the top of the neck, just so I dont get a false hope that I actually own one opf those 30+mpg rigs! In my world, anything over 10 mpg is a bonus! Im just happy to have such a nice truck! Oo.

first Dodge CTD, on order--had older (ford 95,PS) since it was new! see my sig----thanks for all the great info from the members!!!

Fessin' up. I could not stand it... I had to know. I filled up Friday and put 13 gallons in. Looks like hand calculated will be about 15mpg, so my overhead reads high.



15mpg is what my '99 regular cab got, so I am very happy! 15 is about all I have every gotten out of a CTD, so this is what I was expecting and I am very happy with it.



BTW... the more I drive it, the more I love this truck! She is great.
