Those are the same model Hankooks I have on my duals, except in 225 which is plenty of tire for me. I've been quite pleased with the setup.

How much do they weigh? How do they effect the acceleration and braking? They do not look that big for being over 34" tall.

I too have the 265-70x19. 5 DH01 G's, only on Rickson steel wheels. They are definitely heavy and do impact both acceleration and braking adversely... . but not enough for me not to be happy with them! A trade-off is that they seem to function much like an extra large flywheel. Once you get moving, they just seem to keep on rolling. Very, very little compression braking w/o a jake. Noticeably less than with the stockers. Get rolling down a small hill and they just keep rolling along w/ very little power application. Air 'em up and they will really haul a load. Each of my tire wheel assemblies is rated for 5000 lbs at max air pressure. (Wheels 5,000, tires 5070 @ 110 psi) Recommend Bilstein shocks or equivalent to control them and Balance Masters to keep 'em in balance. The balance master 206's designed to control a set of 16. 5 duals fits perfectly and is as large a diameter can be used, at least with the steel wheels. Good ride and handling.

Cumminz: No rubbing whatsoever. Zero. The ride is definitely more firm and sharp. Any 19. 5 tire/wheel combo will be rougher than stock, when empty. Also when empty, the tires seem at times to be a little squirrely, for example they follow any ruts or ledges in the road much more than stockers. No duh again, right? I don't notice any difference in acceleration, some difference in braking: again, a little squirrely. BUt not bad, like Tabbott said. Overall, the ride is worse, but not horrible. If I had to do it over again, I might try to pony up to the Michelins, like an XDE2+ (my cousin loves his on his '94 CTD reg cab). But then again, they are two times the $$!!

That being said, the loaded up ride is amazing! BIG difference, lots more stability over the stock wheels/tires. I can load up my slide-in camper, an '07 Eagle Cap 950 (4000 lb wet and loaded up for camping) and these tires made a huge difference. I also run airbags. Sway bar and Bilsteins to come to perfect my set-up. Anywya, hope this helps someone else... happy camping

I am running the xde's 245/70/19. 5 on the eliminator rim and they will rub when turned full lock over a bump. xde's in a 265 may remove the inner fender for ya. the michelin's are a bigger diameter when comparing like sizes.

so for the guys wanting the michelin rubber you may not like the 265's w/o a lift.

I've only carried the camper once since I got the 19. 5s, but I aired up to 85 psi rear, 80 front is all. They were great. I will play with that a bit. Empty I run 70 front/rear so far. Not sure what the minimum air is for these tires, anyone? It would be good to know, cuz I would air down when empty.

Robertyoke: My cousin's 94 reg cab is stock height, and he runs the 265 XDE's... with only slight rubbing, as you describe. Seems like my 06 has even more room, but ?? -- can anybody confirm?

the sheet metal is diffrent because of the headlights but I thought the rest was the same. the inner fender and suspention and what not. I dont know, rickson said 265's won't fit w/o lift but the also said I would get my rims in a month or two! heck it only took 14 months!! the offset may influence wether the tire will rub or not. I know the steel is more set in like the stocker but cast wheel vs. the forged wheel

I run 60~65 in the rears unloaded and 70~75 in the front. I have pumped the rear to the max (120 psi) it was a tad rough to say the least.

My truck has no lift, in fact I did the Klenger mod to the rear suspension to lower it a bit, (approx 1. 5") making it more level and doing away with the launch shudder. I put the steel Ricksons and 265-70 x 19. 5 Hankook DH01's on it and took it for some mild off roading driving over sage brush hummocks and the like, through gullys and over washed out roads going up to some old mines around here and could not make them rub anything, no matter what I did. Also, I installed the factory Power Wagon flares and they don't stick out at all beyond the flares --- everything fits perfectly. Like somebody else on some other thread said about the 19. 5's, these things should be standard equipment on our trucks.
