heading out west

The Bethany Berends Memorial Dyno Day has started out with a bang! Right now we have 53 trucks signed up to dyno, and more on the way. (Our record is 67 trucks in one day).

So far our highest numbers have been put out by a 2007 Dmax owned by Justin Faubion. On his second run he put down 439. 7/721. 7.

Second place is currently held by a 2000 7. 3 owned by Doug Tubb. On his second run he put down 476. 4/1090. 5.

Justin is also the closest guesser as well, with a guess of his highest only 1. 2 hp away from his actual.

Details and pics will be updated throughout the day!

Thanks!

I am so sorry about getting that wrong. Some of the handwriting on the clipboards can be hard to read. I will have better results posted soon, and graphs that everyone can download.

I am in the process of uploading more pics to my webshots album right now. They should be done soon.

So far, the highest numbers are from Kyle Conklin with his 06 Dodge Cummins (same engine AlanB is putting in his '97 F250). Kyle's truck put down 697. 7/1110. 4.

Behind him is Shane Walter in his 05 Dodge Cummins putting down 639. 9/1245. 8.

Highest hp PSD is Doug Tabb with his 2000 7. 3 at 476. 4/1090. 5. Anthony Camache with his 96 PSD (Elite Diesel) put down 445. 1/850. 2.

The closest guess is a guess of 230 hp from Mark Randall with his 97 Dodge Cummins. He pulled down a 229. 1!

We are not sure when we will be done tonight. We have 70 trucks to dyno, on #39 right now. If we run all these trucks, we will have surpassed our record.

Best thing of all is that we touched the hearts of the Berends family and will be able to give them the memorial their daughter deserves.

Thanks to all!

Really great event Shay - great job organizing and making it a nice time. Good to see everyone, and surely a great turn out for Bob and family. Just goes to show how big a group of friends/family there is in this crowd.

Gratitutous 1st gen poser pic :)

Shay you did a great job putting this thing together. The turn out was great especially with the snow the previous day south and east as well as the cold. I know I had to leave about 3:30 so not sure how it ended up.

Thank you again Shay, thanks to all the people who showed up and participated and donated to the cause. As well as the vendors who donated prize drawings. It sure seemd like a good time was being had by all.

Just a quick set of numbers:

Total recorded pulls: 216 (may be subject to interpretation)

Total HP recorded: 78934. 1 (on those runs):-laf

Total Torque recorded: 163569. 2 ft pounds

I don't know how much we contributed to Global warming, it was still cold when I went home.

I still do not have enough words to say thanks to all who donated, worked, and participated in this event.

What a great crowd of friendly, fun & competitive people.

I just wish that I could shake everyone's hand that was there.

Thanks guys!

Huge thanks to all the businesses that donated, the guys who worked so hard on the dyno and everyone for attending and pitching in!

Once I catch my breath and get caught up here at work (we are going through a computer migration#@$%!), I will get the numbers and links all posted to everyone's runs, as well as exact totals on what was raised and who donated what. I will say that it is over $5,000!!!

And Bob, I love ya. :)
