At the moment I have 265-75/r16 Pro comp mudders I took off of my wife Cherokee.
I will run the rest of the life out of them, then put on 255-85/16's. The new tires are a bit taller to fill up the wheel wells but still narrow like I like em.
Thanks for the comments guys. Brian yours was the decision maker for me. I fought between 2 and four inches for months until I saw pics of your truck. You have a very nice one ton.
that looks awesome. until my brother put a huge dent in the side of his truck a lift and tires were on the list. he was thinking 4" as well, and he was right it looks good
Nice looking truck, my W350 has that same paint combo, not nearly as nice though. I am working on that now. I am running 255/85/16s. Tall and skinny, works best for me, even if they do not look the best. Glen
Git - R - Done, yes I installed it myself not hard but a few complications. I will say it was the hardest spring lift I have ever done and its my sixth one. Mostly because the truck is from washington state and the bolts going throught the sleeves of the spring eyes had tried to become one with the sleeves, + I had to drop the fuel tank down to get to the front spring bolt on the drivers side. Usually with and impact good air and torch these go pretty fast. I bought the system from Rocky Mountain Suspension. It can be had a little cheaper elswhere but these people as well as the people at Skyjacker were top notch to deal with. One issue with rocky mountain is they dont say you need the adjustable drag link they just say the drop pitman arm is enough. I say you need the adjustable drag link. So if you do it get the drag link. I read on the forums that National Tire and Wheel has about the best price on that part.
ggsoldan- I couldnt wait and put the 255's on yesterday and love em I will post some before and after pics after I wash it and try to get better pictures.
DieselBuzz-- I've heard guys say the Four inch does not ride as well as the two inch but when your on the bumpstops in the front the four inch feels like a caddilac now. I also used the Rancho RS 9000 shocks. I've used them on my last 4 trucks including my wifes Grand Cherokee. I love being able to adjust the ride to what you want with a click of a button. I dont have the in cab controller mounted yet but will post pics when I get it done.
