It had been raining here for over a week and today we finally had a nice day so I got some photos of my girl. I name all my trucks and I named this truck Mistress. Originally, she was going to be my off roader and my "other truck" as I was driving an F-150 at the time. I'm planning on putting on a later ('92-'93) grille surround and inserts and front bumper with step pad. I added the steps and decals today. I decided on the Skyjacker 4" lift today since I did some measuring and can still haul a gooseneck with that lift. I'm also going for Raceline Renegade 8 wheels and Cooper STT tires. I sure appreciate all the great info and responses I've gotten so far!

I need to do an inform poll too. I'm planning on painting the truck myself in the not so far future. I want to stick with two tone. I want the center to be a very dark gray and originally I was going with a nice red (not too bright but not quite burgundy either) on top and bottom. But, I really like burnt orange/red (GM used to have it and so did Ford). Which do you guys think for the top/bottom color choice: red or burnt red/orange?

I think the dark red would look better.

Glad you like the funny Farm. That is what we are here for.

Daniel

PS- you want another truck to paint after you get done with yourrs?;)

As much as I like the burnt orange/red, I think you're right. If you wanna bring your truck up here, I'll paint it.

I just talk to shop here recommended by several people. He's going to get back to me on lift pricing but I've found the tires I want and the wheels. I ordered the steering piece last night. It should be here in a few days. I'm so excited!

Anyone got any advice on winches for me? I don't really want the full bumper, just a winch mount on the bumper - anyone know where I can find on the net? I haven't been able to find one just yet... I see several folks have the 12k winches. I've heard good things about Warn and Ramsey. How is Mile Marker and should I get the 12v or 24v?

Nice pics, I like the headache rack. Where's the pictures of the operator?

We all like a little eye candy too! If you go red the truck will look like a chebby!

What in the heck?? My red trucks would be quite insulted by this comment. ;)

Glad you are tolerating our old school group. As far a color choices, I like red, but the 90 and the 75 might change color in the future, but the 93 will always be red, and ALL red, with just some hints of black.

And I'm sure Bill will get in here saying something about me asking about eye candy too, thanks for playing along. ;)

I want to second that "Red" Dodge's shure as heck don't look like a chevy.

Hey Hey! You guys have it all wrong! She said "dark gray in the MIDDLE and red on the top and bottom". I love a red Dodge- ALL red! MMiller, your trucks look good, even the brown/ red one :-laf

KMSCD, thanks for the candy. It's good to see a hottie driven a truck, 'specially a 1st gen! ;)

Kendra, interested in the numbers you get on the lift... I talked to alaska 4wd on old seward this summer 'bout the skyjacker springs... they quoted me just over $1k. Where'd you find wheels? I just can't pay prices for shipping for new for this old beater to AK. Your truck is the exact same color as my Dads 91.

John

Yea, yea. Rag on the Ford all you want but it was a great little truck and I'm pretty proud of my horse - that took me many hours to perfect.
