Pics of the inside of the fuel tank

[Spooled-up]

I was doing the vent mod on my '07 the other day and decided to take some pics of the inside of the tank. Kind of interesting:



This one is taken looking toward the rear of the tank and shows the ball valve at the end of the fill neck in the tank. That would make it impossible to siphon fuel when the level gets below that ball. You can also see the inside of the small barb valve that is on the top of the tank that is supposed to have a fuel line on it to keep out contamination. I didn't have any lines on mine and I'm thinking of making a kit for this as well. #ad






This one is taken looking toward the front of the tank. Looks like a couple of gallons of wasted space is taken up by tunnels and indentations that have no apparent purpose:

I could convince probably more than one person that I got a tank full of anti-freeze!!!

This pic is in the updated version of the Vent Kit Instructions There's a cross member that interferes with the bulkhead fitting if you mount it too far rearward. Gotta stay forward of the yellow line.

Those are great pictures and very informative for the vent install. Thanks for posting them.

I still have not done mine but now I am in Alaska and my truck is in storage Ariz. until late Feb.
