Can someone show me pictures of their truck with the stock wheels... and 295/75/16 I'd like to see how they look.

I'm getting new tires for winter. I have picked the Nitto's ..... and settled on the 295 series... . for just a lil more gear on the top end at the track. I'm getting them for $154 each at Discount tire on the net. I only found one shop locally that will get them. . they want $195 apiece! For those interested teh 285's can be had for $132 each. And its FREE shipping.

I currently have 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T's..... but with my driving habits I wore through them pretty good already.

Anyone see any issues with the 295's on the stock truck. I plan on getting the Skyjacker springs to go with it..... eventually. I am pretty sure with my Dam Air it might get in the way.

Don't have no picture but son has a 99 reg cab 4x4 that he put BFG AT 295/75 16 on and they don't rub. They are wearing good too. I'm sure some of these fellows will have some pictures.

If you check my pics you can see them. (not well)

If you would like a closeup I can post or email you a pic. :)

let me know... .

Oh, I also had no fitment problems with my 295's. No leveling kit and no rubbing. I do have the plow package though.

Kat,

These are actually a little bigger that you asked for. I'm running BFG/AT 315/75R16 on stock wheels. They rub a little at full turn lock on a stock truck.

Sorry about the pic, my ugly mug messes up a good pic of the truck. ;)

Good choice on tires. I think you will be happy with them. I have a pic of 295 BFG's on a 99 with the stock chrome wheels if you are interested. It doesn't really look any different that 285's IMO.

I took this pic at the MM 01 rally.

It is a 295/75-16 tire, It is a 16" rim, don't know if it is stock style but here you go... .

Gosh Eric- that's not even your truck! You do have good taste though :) Kat- I think that the rim has as much to do with tire fit/appearance as does the tire. You might be able to get away with a little more tire if the rim has an offset to it... brings the tire further away from the inner liner. I've been running the BFG ATs forever and am most happy with them though they are getting even more pricey. Really interested to see the Nitto tire mounted on your truck. Oh yeah, with more rim offset, more rocks get thrown onto the stuff you polish!

Kat,

No picture, but presently I have 305X70X16 Coopers on stock chrome wheels, they don't rub anywhere - I was shocked. The wheels are bent and I am looking at some M/T Challengers.

Diesel Freak has 'em

I convoyed up to Diesel Thunder with Diesel Freak last Saturday, and he has 295's on stock wheels. He also has a leveling kit, but his truck looks sharp. Maybe shoot him a PM or something, he should be able to get you a pic.

I'm reviving this thread i found under the search function. I want either 295 Nittos or 315 Nittos to go w/ my 2" tuff country leveling kit. Does anyone have pics of these sizes (Nittos Only Please) in stock form or with leveling kit installed?

Thanks.

Actually JLinder, Diesel Freak has 315s on the factory alloy wheels... I have 295s on 16x8 M/T Alcoa Challengers.

Since someone brought this uptop... ..... my "quest" to get the Nittos has been delayed for a while. Due to a recent blowout and getting a free tire, I have two brand new Dueler A/T's now, so I am running 285/75/16 for a while longer.

i believe at the 315 size you should go to a wider rim the 305 is the last one to fit the stock wheel decently.
