That truck is pretty much how mine is going to land up being. Mind you I am going a bit more extreme than that mind you I am only going with a 12valve. What trany is used. I am putting a 6speed into mine. My truck was once a reg-cab but after looking for the 96-98 style interior to update my 89 I found it easier just to get a crew-cab cab and frame. I got a cab loaded with leather (mint) frame from the cab back, and the 35gallon diesel tank. I cut my frame and used the front section and welded it to the rear section of the crew-cab frame right where the factory welds them so you can't even tell.
I also converted it to 4wd and am using a dodge D60 front with my 1-ton GM coil springs. I also went to a 2003 AAM GMC dually rear axle with 3:73 gears.
As far as the intercooler. I used a D-max unit and although it was hard to fit it worked and the only thing I have to do is add a 1/4" spacer on the headlights because the intercooler is so wide.
Power wise I am getting the head o-ringed and porting and pollished. I am going with a #10 plate,delivery valves, 4000gsk, 370 marine injectors, HTB2/64 turbo (on its way to me right now) and a few other goodies!!!!! and I am also going with a EEP Dual Disk clutch.
