Jim, here are pictures of the DTT 2nd gear microswitch. The switch has a spring sicking out about 2. 5 inches. Move it and you hear the micro switch click.

Thanks SNOKING,
I found out that PacBrake uses the exact same switch in some of their kits. I also found out that I needed the manual trans kit if I was using the Smart Controller. I also found out that the later model Smart Controller activated second gear lockup with a 1. 2 volt signal instead of grounding the pink wire. Bill told me that all I needed was a toggle switch to supply 1. 2 volts to the pink wire. When switched on it will shift into second gear AND lock up the TC without having to move the shift lever. (as soon as he fixes the Valve body so I have 2nd gear lockup capabilities but that is another story). Turns out you can do the same thing with the older Smart Controllers too.
Just out of curiosity, is the dimmer switch setup you have for turning on and off the smart controller?

Yes I have power to the DTT Smart Controller and Banks Exhaust Brake module power running through a floor mounted old style head light switch. There are times like manually coming out of 2nd gear that you do not want to be in torque converter locked mode or you get a very harsh shift that will test your input and output shafts. Snoking

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I don't want to do the 2nd to 3rd shift locked even though I have the billet input and flexplate. Mine will be a little different. I could only find the a DTT controller off a newer truck. They trigger the controller with a 1. 5 volt signal instead of grounding. I have configured a 1. 5 volt source to connect to the controller through a toggle. Bill says that when I apply 1. 5v to the pink wire, it should trigger the trans to manually shift to 2nd without moving the gear shift lever. Problem is I don't know how it will act when I am locked in 2nd and just shut off power to the controller. It should come out of lockup first, then shift to 3rd. We will find out soon. Well at least after another trip to Canadia.
