New England pics are up

We had a great time this weekend at the open House at Huckstorf Diesel. I would just like to say thanks to John & Mark Huckstorf for inviting us. I would also like to say thanks to Jon(Huckstorf employee) for all the great information. . I learned alot about the Bosch P-7100 pumps, and it was very interesting seeing a pump run on the test bench. Huckstorf's has a very nice facility, and we are looking forward to a return visit in the future. We got quite a bit of work done this weekend including a marathon gauge install:-laf :-laf , some exhaust work, and a sport headlight install and front lift kit install. It was nice to see everyone that attended. Nixter's chili was great(he would make someone a good wife:-laf ). Thanks to everyone for participating- Victor, Wendy, and I, enjoyed your company. I'll try to post some pictures here:https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displayalbum.php?&userid=183&albumid=445

John-with the exception that I missed the actual meeting and tour at Hucksdorf, and the fact that I was part of that marathon guage install,I had a great time this weekend. Thanks a ton. Looking forward to the next one.

Had a great time!

First off, would like to say thanks to Huckstorf Diesel for opening up their doors for us to look around, and for showing us a demonstration of their pump testing equipment. Very Informative! Also thanks to John and Wendy for letting us all invade their garage and house for the weekend. The food and hospotality were awesome! Thanks Guys!

Thank you to all who helped me change the yoke on my truck. It was much appreciated. Thanks again all, and cant wait until next time.

Jason

p. s. Jtisdale: Your gonna need a clutch!!!!!! :D :D

Great Time!!

Thanks the the Huckstorf crew for the tour and the info. You guys have a beautiful shop.

Thanks to John, Wendy and Victor for putting us up (and putting up with us) for the weekend. I really had a great time, I wished I had felt better.

Nix, the chili was great! Although, I did notice my pyro went off scale when I accidentally dropped the probe in it. Thanks for breakfast, too. Brooke wants you to give her a demo with your Garmin, she is pretty interested.

A BIG thanks to Wally for all your help and patience with my truck and I. I really appreciate everything. It was good to see you all again, and it was nice to meet the ones I didn't know.

See you in Wausau on the 26th.

Jim

PS- I aint the only one...

CCevers, your gonna need a clutch:p

Thanks.

I'm kinda bummed that I missed Huckstorf's on Saturday. One of these days, I'll make it out there.

Wally musta got home okay. Do ya think them boys in the red Dodge were impressed? Banks, as if...

Extreme1, do you want to guess why it took you so long? It's because I haven't ever tackled a project that goes like it should. It's my aura. I'm glad I could share it with you. Just think if I woulda helped with Nix's gauges. :D Tisdale, when do you want to go for the clutch? How long can you be without your truck?;)

Thanks to John for having us in his yard and driveway. Was well worth the trip to see all you guys again. I'll probably make it to Wausau. Should be a good time there. Who's gonna keep us on track with that one?

Or,if you think that's too much work.....

It was nice to meet all of you guys, altho it will probably be a while before I get to remember all of your names. Wish I could have stayed. So I look forward to hooking up with you guys in the future.

John, thanx for setting this all up and opening up your homestead for us to gather in. It is great when something like this gets put together and very much appreciated.

Huckstorf Diesel... . thanx for taking the time to entertain us diesel guys for a few hours, it was definitely cool of you guys to share your knowledge. Looking forward to the next time we have a get together there.

I can openly admit that I dooo need a clutch We should have a master bomb session for three clutch jobs jtisdale, csevers,johnrv4 all at one time any one else?

I had a blast! (and got stuff done)

I got the sport headlights installed (wiring project underway, I have all the parts), leveling kit installed, and the fog light geometry corrected. (Not to mention exhaust purchased)

Thank you Wendy and John for for setting this all up, the use of your garage, driveway, yard, kitchen, dog, fan storage space and extra bedroom. (I haven't seen any mention of Justin and Victor sleeping together yet!)

Thanks to everyone who helped me, Craig S. for the wire connector save and the sport light/bumper R&R work, Aron and Craig for the leveling kit assistance, Jason for the tools. The truck drives great, I'll be getting it aligned this week but it doesn't feel "bad". The biggest change was the seating position, I had to move the seat a bunch!

Thanks to Nixter for saving us from starvation Saturday, dragging my butt around Sunday morning to get stuff and schooling us on how to do a gauge install with ZERO mistakes.

And thanks to Hucksdorf for the show and tell and sticking around late on a Saturday to answer a bunch of questions.

If I missed anyone, sorry!

John, if you do this again next year with the dyno working, I'm sure the turnout will only get better.

Well here it is. An apology from me to all the BOMBERS at John and Wendys' this weekend. Sorry for taking up the garage all day for a simple gauge install. I get very unsure of myself when it comes to tackling new projects, especially when it comes to the truck. It sure is nice to have babysitters and hand-holders when doing stuff like this. Extreme 1, I hope to give you a hand when you do your pump, I owe you. Blackcloud and Johnrv4, I owe you guys as well. Someday it'll be me helping you guys... .

The gauges are still reading low. Nothing over 1150 so far... ;)

Thanks to John and Wendy for hosting the weekend and Hucksdorf Diesel for opening thier shop to us as well.

Anyone need a ride to Wausau?

Nixter

Don't sweat it Nick. We're all into helping each other. It's always nice to have friends around when you tackle these jobs for the first time.

Dan and I had a good time flushing brake systems together - although he seemed to enjoy calling me names just a little bit too much while I was under the trucks bleeding the brakes. :-{} :D I guess he had the hard part of sitting inside with his foot on the pedal. :p I'm not sure that boy is right. :p

Thanks to John and Wendy, and to John Huckstorf for being great hosts. Thanks also to Nick for the tasty chili. It was good to be there and see everyone - and to meet new people too.

Dave

Thanks again to all of you. I thoroughly enjoyed my escape from the everyday. I felt bad that I didn't bring a thing, didn't help anybody, and didn't add to the event in any way except taking up space. OK, maybe I seriously reduced the amount of left-overs. (awesome food-- All of it!)

I really enjoyed meeting all of you, seeing the different projects progress, and witness the sacrifice of rubber to the smoke gods. :D

The hospitality of John and Wendy and the guys at Hucksdorf made me feel right at home.

I couldn't have said it better myself. We were just giving you some good-natured ribbing Nick. At least you were cautious- the gauge install looked great. I spent 3 hours installing and routing my fuel pressure gauge:( . But, it turned out the way I wanted it to. I just wish I had the time to help more. Bighammer, I'm glad you made it. We enjoyed your company. I'm looking forward to our next session, but I need a bigger garage for when the weather gets bad. I'm up for suggestions for the next bombing session. Let me know if you have any ideas. I almost forgot... I found a Allen brand socket in the garage. It is a 13MM 3/8" drive short socket, so everybody check their toolboxes for a missing socket.

I missed Hucksdorf too, but have talked to them in the past. Nice people.

Thanks John and Wendy!!! It is great of you guys to open up your house for everyone! Was nice seeing everyone again.

Maybe I will even help with a project next time as long as the hunting seasons are over:eek: .

It's probably mine, I look in the box when I get a chance. I guess I left in a bit of a hurry!

I wish I could have met all of you last weekend but I was down in Kentucky with the wife and Jeep trail riding. Sounds like you are a great group of people and I plan on hooking up with you all real soon.
