I have a carli starter kit waiting for install in my garage and a 06 truck with almost bald stock tires on it.

I can say i'm totally sick of the stock poor handling, and the horrible look of the truck with the front end sagging and "car" tires that it comes with.

As soon as i am physically able, i will be installing the calri kit, and immediately going to tire shop for new tires.

I have heard so many people say so many things about tires for these trucks. I have learned two things so far. buy E rated tires, and buy Toyo's for best handling.

My only hang up is do i go with Toyo at's or mt's? and do i get 285/75/17 or 35 X 12. 50 17's?

the truck is my daily driver and it will only be off road maybe 5% of the time is that. . I want good looks, good handling, and good snow and wet traction. what do you guys think is the best bet for tires?

If anyone has any of these setups, could you please post pictures of the truck and you thoughts on its performance.

Thanks for a great site and resource!

All take some pictures of mine this weekend and post em. I have Nitto Terra Grapplers on mine. 305/70/17 E rated. Their pretty much toast. they started out as 34 inch tires but they are now more like 33 inch and almost gone. But it will give you a good Idea how your truck will look once you get it together.

I would say the rating is dependant on what you will be doing with you truck. I have D rated tires that actually are rated at a higher load than some E rated.

Carli starter kit with Carli control arms. Tires are 315/70/17 and are about the same height as 35/12. 5/17, just a little narrower. The 315s do not rub at all with full lock in both directions. Think the 12. 5 might rub a little at full lock.

thanks for the pic, truck looks sweet. what goodyears are on there and how do you like them? what bumpers are those? thanks!

Tires are GoodYear Durotrac 315/70/17 load range D. I ran through 3 sets of BFG TKOs in the same size. Always had ballance problems and poor snow traction. Went to these after reading test data at discount tires. They look geat and the price is about the same.

Bumpers are Road Armor. They seam to have corrected the deilivery problems.
