I am going to buy a headache rack soon and would like to see some pictures of yours. I am kind of set on the Weather Guard 1908 Model. It has adjustable height which will allow me to get close to even with the top of my cab. I don't care for the racks that are several inches over the cab. I plan on mounting 4 rear facing lights to help me see my trailer at night. Anybody have any pics? Thanks

We have the Back racks on a lot of trucks at work. They are pretty nice if you don't have a tool box. The brackets for tool boxes lift the box 2" higher. If you have a 4x4 you can't reach into the box.

I have a toolbox on my BackRack and just decided to hop into the bed if I need something :-laf I admit it can be a PITA, but it's better then running around with all my tools in the cab. I went with the BackRack due to all the accessory mounts they have, and I bought all of them... just in case :D I also have a place to buy from that has free shipping and a good price too. http://www.anythingtruck.com/truckracks.html

I made my own. I liked the Back Rack but the tool box mounts were too high. and the rest i looked at all had legs that went too high over the cab. So out came the welder and cut off saw.

I also made one for my Ford soon to be 12V. I think I have about $200 into including the steel and lights and paint. Nice thing about building your own is you can make it how you want and put lights whereever you want. I used a piece of 2x3 angle iron and ran it back 3' from the front of the box. Then placed my tool box on top of it. It is very solid!

I like this one

I'm getting one also and its either going to be this one from B&W (turnover ball) or another one, I just can't find the link atm for the other one :p You can get it with a grab handle also.

See my readers rigs gallery for pics.

I chose cab-high without ears, but recall that ears were a no-cost option. Lights are stop/turn and backup. Backup lights also make good work lights for loading trailer at night.

South West Fabricators builds them to order, so customization (e. g. , to add additional light mounting tabs) should not be a problem.

They offer a cutout for the rear window, but I wanted the sliding window covered.

No picture but I have the B&W that Dhayden has pictured a couple posts above except mine does have the grab handles on the side. It has been on for about 60k now and is holding up great. No sign of rust, peeling paint or anything else yet.

I made my own in 2" stainless tubes and are mounted in the front stake holes, so no holes are drilled in the bed. Still need to polish it, but at least it won't rust :)

It's a picture of it in my readers rig's
