Oo. Well as promised I have taken some photos of the newly redesigned TPS, Throttle Position Sensor.

History: (Only on the manual transmission trucks with TPS under the driver side battery)

When releasing the throttle pedal, it occasionally would stick around 1000rpm. Some times it would cause the truck to rev while shifting gears. :mad:

Solution: Remove the inner fender on driver side.

Replace the TPS from underneath the battery support. My replacement has a white and blue dot to identify model series.

Cause: The intercooler pipe was resting against the lid of the TPS housing causing a binding action. The throttle stop was redesigned to include a bevel top as to not rub against the housing lid.

The link below is to my website. Picture is worth a thousand words. .

Thanks for the info. My truck has this some problem I think, I figured it was somthing in the programming and just learned to let off the throttle before ****ting. But if you let off it really fast you can hear it snap out the last little bit, like it is catching on something.

Do you know if their is any TSB # or anything that explains this to the dealer. It will save me alot of time in trying to explain it to them.

That and I here their is a recall that has to do with the cruise. Headed on a 5000 mile trip in a month and it would be good to get these things taken care of.

Your have the EXACT same problems I had with my truck. The part had the following number 53032456AD. The mechanic seemed to believe that it was an engineering number and not a part number. DC is very aware of the problem. Your dealership just needs to contact DC engineering. :-{}
