Piers and TST

If the Piers plate is the same as the TST what is the difference in the kits? besides the $75 difference? Does the Piers kit include the video and boost elbow?



Also with an automatic transmission, I don't need the AFC springs do I?

The decision to use the AFC springs is up to you. That would depend on the plate size (HP) you get and how much smoke you want to see. I got my plates (plural) from TST and swapped them out after I got the jones for more HP. Good company, good people. From what I've read about Piers same story there.

Piers sells TST plates. He also has his own custom ground plates for specific needs. If you get a #5 plate from Piers, its a TST #5. Yes it should have the boost elbow, however I dont know on the video.

Yes Piers cam plates are TST plates He does not include a video with the kits. As far as I know, with the exception of the video, he sells the exact same kit as TST. You sure can't beat the price he has on them this month

Piers is Number ONE!!

I bought mine from Piers also and it had everything but the video. I saw enough on our site here and others where I didn't need it anyways. Yes, the elbow is included! If you have any questions or doubts about doing it yourself, we're here to help. It was really quick to do and boy was it worth it! If you do it, see also Pier's website on adjusting the plate strike height. I need to check this out sometime on my own rig after it quits raining!!! Herb

Thanks guys, I actually installed one in my father's truck over christmas. We got it from TST and had the video which was helpful. In fact, we still have it if I needed. I was just trying to figure out why it was more expensive from the supplier rather than the retailer.

TST vs. Piers plate

I bought a plate from TST and got the video and printed instructions. Could not ahve been hapier with it. I have a friend (Teacher) from toledo Wa. who bought his plate from Piers. Same year of truck and transmission. Since I still had the video from TST. it worked just fine to install the fuel plate from Piers in His truck. Teacher was not comfortable installing it him self but I was. Since I had already done it to my truck. Bottom line it is not realy that important to have the video but if it is your first time it really helps. Just my 2 cents worth.
