How bad will it hurt?

I am being impatient wanting to install a Piers cam and BD3's . I will be adding an edge comp and an HX-40 later. I am wondering how much trouble I'm asking for just running the cam and injectors for a while, I will be towing about 11k pounds for 1500 miles before the box and turbo go on.

Should I wait? or go ahead?

IM its going to get hot with bd3's and stock turbo at stock boost PSI. You need a way to fool the wastegate and the ECM,so you can get more boost. If you just fool the wastegate you'll get an overboost code and low power. Id wait for the rest of the goodie. I imagien you could run the Cam now easily.

It will be alright, you just won't get the full potetional out of the turbo or injectors unless you install some kind of boost fooler. The stock engine is limited to 21 psi of boost set by the ecm. go ahead and buy the comp box, you'll get more out of it by itself than the injectors and turbo

I just wanted to save my lazy self some time and do the injectors the same time as the cam since it would be pulled apart already. I will probably just get the comp. and leave the pump wire disconnected until I'm ready to do the rest. Thanks guys

I wouldn't hesitate. Just make sure you get a boost fooler and disable the wastegate and you should be fine. With DD3's my egt's never got above 1300 with the little HY.
