Dyno results,
Put my old 12 valve on the dyno at the Scheid event this past weekend and had some interesting comments.
When the dyno operator (Brian) ran my truck on it's second run, he commented to me afterwards that the egt's never got over 1450 on a 25 second run. The first run was with a #10 plate slid full forward. . 437hp/1129tq. The second run was with a B&M Diesel Performance custom ground plate. . 461hp/1092tq.
My point is this, anybody with a #10 plate or more knows how hot/ how quick this combo is even with an hx40 and good intake air flow.
With the PDR ported head and cam, the egt problems are MUCH more manageable.
I was very happy with the results, especially since the ONLY pump modifications I have are the plate and 4000 spring kit.
The timing is only at 15. 5 degrees.
Plenty of room left for more fuel and the ability to use it
Piers cam and ported head ROCKS on a 163,000 mile 12 valve!!!
