A report and thanks to Bob Wagner, C. Shomer & Ryan Cook for referring me to Piers Diesel Research! We spent 3 days with Piers last week, and he installed his modified HX35 16 cm turbo, a new high-performance clutch, adjusted the injection pump so I can go up to 65 in 4th gear, and the truck really smokes!
I tow a 11,500 lb. 5th wheel, and I can tell a world of difference in the performance. For the few of you who don't know about PiersDieselResearch (www.piersdiesel.com), he is located in Abbotsford, British Colombia, and is one of the most knowledgable guys I have run across when it comes to the Cummins Diesel, and very nice to work with.
We have a '96, 5 speed, 3. 54 rear end, Gear Vendors gear splitter, TST #ll cam plate, a 16 cm non-wastegated turbo, which Piers has just modified as stated above.
