Y'all missed a great event and all 'round good time! Here's some pics of us up at Glen Cove, over 10,000 ft:
Daybreak - just breathtaking. Hot coffee brewed, and just waitin' for the roar of the engines... our spot was on the far side of an awesome left-hand hairpin turn:

First car up the hill - Propane-powered scarry and hella-fast A/C Cobra - we heard this guy coming over a mile away with that incredible big hairy V8 sound echoing off the mountain... and then this flash of yellow came screamin' up past the green-roofed building in the background, power-sliding the right-hander past that, hammer down the whole time, then straight towards us to the hairpin just feet in front of us, making the left-hander with his wheels locked all the way to the right, V8 roaring, and off to our right and up he went like a shot. We heard him the whole way up the mountain!! Damn it was just friggin' awesome...

Then came the bikes, quads, pro stock cars and trucks, sidecar bikes, exhibition cars and trucks, custom mods, Wells Coyotes race rails, and then came the big stuff... like this fella here - last vehicle on the track. You had to be there to believe this thing - it is exactly what it looks like... . a big, scary-as-hell Freightliner... . it was un - real .

I'm bettin' we'll be there again next year. The chow fest the night before at the campgrounds was fantastic - ribs, chicken, salads, desserts, beer, sodas, lots of seconds and thirds - we were so full there almost wasn't room for coffee. . almost
