Does anyone remember where we are in the wait for a full replacement pillar gauge mount? It seems like someone was going to have one ready soon. Are there any full replacements that folks are happy with? Thanks. Gotta get G,A,U,G,E,S. (Just a little spell check-no charge)

Autometer makes one it looks great. . I bought the Three gauge with Tweeter... I bought it off the net from a diesel performance in texas... Don't have the address any more sorry... But if you call Autometer they will tell you who has one...

I got mine from the place in Texas too... www.dieselpage.com is the starting point. Their site navigation isn't real great, but once you find what you want, it's easy to order online.

Be sure to order up a can of interior spray paint from your dealer so you can paint it to match the interior. I can say that the paint is REALLY tough and lasts well. I banged mine around a bit during installation and there's not a mark on it.

After I installed gages, I found out a EGT Gage can be had with a blinking warning light. Would like to have that one.

I can help on any autometer part numbers or give the exact web site page, it took a day or two to figure out the autometer page. Everyone has these pods, summit jegs, when we get these pods we have found some on backorder occasionally so look out for that http://www.autometer.com/hp/index.html

I too got the Autometer 3'fer w/tweeter and it worked just fine. Factory paint is xlnt.
Got mine (and gauges) from Scheid Diesel (800) 699-1934. Andy was extremely helpful. They even provided a pre-drilled elbow for the Pyro probe, saving me the work. Andy even offered to PAINT the Pod with factory color for me! Nice to find businesses that still have "service" in Customer Service!

Davison, where did you get your factory paint? My local dealer doesn't carry interior colors. Am I just going to have to go to the hardware store and try to find a match? Thanks.

If you want the pod to be matched perfectly then you can have one of the inteiror touch op people paint you pod for you. I had a man spend 3 hours on mine to get it painted to the perfect color, we even tested it in the light and in the shade.
If you want to give one a try then call a detail shop you trust and have them give you the phone # of the interior touch up specialists they use

My Interior is Agate and the Mopar Part # is 82201399 code LAZ Agate Interior .....

I went to parts dept at Berg Dodge in Florence Oregon, and even though they had to order it, it was there in about 2 days and only cost $8. 00. #ad


It's only a 5 oz can, but I used so little to do the pod, that I have a lot left over for future touch up.

The match is perfect! #ad

Those of you who've had good paint matches are lucky. I just went through this a few weeks ago. Ordered the paint to match the pillars and it was waaaay off. But it was the correct interior color code according to the label in the truck.

So then I had an automotive paint shop mix me an 8-oz. can to match. We used the ash tray (back side) as a "color swatch". Matched great. Then I discovered the pillars are a little different shade than the dash #ad
Ultimately, I ended up repainting both pillars and the gauge pod to match with the paint they mixed.

Gotta love it.

I am curious if I can stick one of those little CB extension speakers into the tweeter hole of a replacement pod.

How big is the tweeter hole?

Or does the tweeter bolt on top?

The tweeter hole measures 1 7/16ths. The gauge holes have to be enlarged a little to fit most of the 2 1/16 gauges. I would imagine the tweeter fits flush (not bolting in on top). I ordered my paint today. $10 something for a can o' paint. We'll see what happens with the match.

Let me repeat, if you want the perfect match then have an interior touch up man do the job. The match will be perfect when he is done. These people will garantee a perfect match and will use paint or "dye" as they call it which will not scratchand is slightly rubberized to take a bit of abuse
