Those of you who have given up the handle on the pillar for gauges for your engine mods, do you miss the handle at all? I would like the pillar for the gauges I think, not sure. Thanks

Realizing the 3rd gens have a handle and the 2nd gens don't, I agree with Triton. When I fist saw the 3rd gens and noticed the driver side handle I couldn't figure out why mother Dodge would waste money there? Especially being that she scrimps anywhere possible?

I don't think I ever used the handle. I certainly don't miss it. Far as I am concerned it is a wasted handle on the driver side.

Thought about putting my gauges on the A-pillar too. But I found myself using the driverside grab handle more than I thought, even with the entry steps. I find this true when on uneven ground like when the front and rear tires are resting on high ground and the doors happen to be in a valley. Wife even liked the A-pillar but saw the windshield mount above the rear view mirror today and she likes that better.

Gotta keep her happy, she gives me the money:)

had the pillar gauges on my 96 and hit my head on it too many times. My eyebrow got slammed into it a few times to. It's partly my fault for being 6'2 and fat. Great spot to watch them though. My 06 will get them cut in the dash shortly.

I have been told that attachment to the windshield mount is difficult and sometimes they shake and come loose. I too like the windshield setup but I am still exploring my options. I am interested in how your installation goes and if you have/had any installation problems.

Anyone else have problems with their windshield mounted gauges?

I mounted two gauges on the steering column and still enjoy the grab handle. It was an easy location to work with. The mount came from Geno's.

Guages are on.

I do like them and find that instead of the handle I basically grab the A pillar on top when I get in (truck is lifted), so that is not an issue.

One minor complaint is at night the blue lit guages are a little distracting because they are kind of in your field of vision. But this is only minor. I can dim them with the other lights. Otherwise, they are great. I chose blue lights and they look sweet.
