question about buying a rv

Franklin 350 Royal Executive

Just got a 5er and a new 5th wheel hitch and I am wanting to know where I need to be with both the P/B and the hitch. the 5er had a gooseneck adapter, which I removed, and now I need to know wher things belong? hitch as high as possible in bed or ???thanx in advance:)

Most, including myself prefer that the trailer sits level nose to tail when hitched to the truck.

Make sure the you have at least 6" of clearence between the truck and trailer.

The higher you can live with the pinbox the more clearance you will have over the tail gate when hitching/unhitching. As stated above, try to get trailer as level front to back as possible and at least 6" from top of bed rails to trailer. bg
