I went from 245/75-16 tires to 265/75-16 tires my transfer case has no speed sensor or gear for the speedo i believe the pcm/ abs system reads the rear axle ring gear sensor. I know at work i can set the pinion factor for different size tires on the mini vans but not on my truck. i use the snap on mt2500 scanner, any one know of a tool or a how to: with out going to the dealer for thier scanner?
I don't think the dealer can do it either. I know they can't on the 98 24v's. You need a speedometer corrector. 2 places to check... http://abbott-tach.com/era.htm and http://www.ricksontruck.com/ Rickson's site is under construction, but they have a phone # and I know that they have the correcter, actually I think rickson has 2 versions of it, one for rear antilock and one for 4 wheel antilock.
