Am getting ready to get either steps or the pipe looking steps for my truck. Any opinions as to either and why??

Thanks in advance!

I posted this topic about 6 weeks ago. I received lot's of good replys. Finally ended up with Westing Chrome Plated Stainless Steel Nerf Bars. I like them. Here's the link to Westin.

Jerky,

Did the same thing you're doing... . wonder... . wonder... . wonder. Finally decided on running boards instead of nerf bars. Just a personal preference due to the "horse stuff" constantly having to be unloaded from the side of the truck. The boards go back to the front of the rear wheel well, the nerfs don't. Many like their nerf and with good reason. I never found any I particulary liked, so the decision was becoming hard until the wife settled it for me #ad

Here are the boards I settled on.

Good luck!

Actually David, Rhino has a set now that does go wheel well to wheel well. I believe that it's the sumthin' sumthin' 6000 (sorry, left the catalog at my office). I think their website is goRhino.com These ar wht I plan to put on mine.

I like these dual tube nerf bars/running boards from Road Armor. The salesman said they come powdercoated black with Bright aluminum diamond plate on the outer tube. The lights on the ends are neat. Lotta money though.

I have the Westin Nerf Bars.
they just mount to the body bolts under the cab and a stabilizing strap that uses a self-tapping screw. They are very strong!! i had a friend stand on one and he is 350lbs!!
Westin has the plastic steps on the top for traction. Got mine at pep-boys for a good price.

I installed the MOPAR molded running boards last weekend. They look great and support my weight (200lb. ) with no movement at all. They match the truck color perfectly. Good luck on whatever you go with.
