Thanks, TDR Staff

Check out this nice Cummins 5.9 drivetrain.

In 2000 I was passing through Kalamath Falls Or and I saw two "pipeline pickups" for sale at a farm supply place called Sunny D Manufacturing. They had a CTD, Dana axles, heavy sheetmetal body, it looked like pete or kenworth headlight groups, and they were four door. They sortof looked like a small semi in body style but they had the size and ground clearance of a pickup. I had heard that they were made in AZ for the AK pipline.

I have not seen these two trucks , i might have but about 10 years ago i got a brochure in the mail about some company that builds these heavy duty construction /mineing pickups ,they have heavy frames ,basicly strait frames and heavy wall boxes on them and what im guessing a Kenworth A model cab on them , not a pretty ride but a very stout one , They kind of represent a tougher version of the Kenworth pickup that Paccar built a number of years ago when they entertained the idea of entering the pick up market .

Years ago there was a company in Western Canada call "Grizzly" that made HD pickups in whatever body style you wanted, 2 door-4 door-ext cab- suburban, 4WD-2WD and with whatever drivetrain you wanted, gas-diesel. I remember the first one I saw was in the late 80's in northern Alberta with a Cummins "6B" in it. I saw one a few years ago in the northern part of Vancouver Island. The company shut down in the late 90's. They looked like a small KW and were 2-3 times the price of a pickup but would easily outlast them. Shadrach

Looking over the forums and couldnt help but take a closer look at this one, how long are these "pickups" ?I have a four door long bed and its hard enough to turn around on the right of way.
