Bracket Racing Tutorial

Alrighty gang, let's vote on which weekends coming up work for everyone. Any and all are invited. We usually meet at the Waffle Shop on Broadway in upper Placerville at like 9:00 AM for breakfast and BSing afterwards.

I'll be sending out email to everyone I know in this area, and the Diesel-Central gang, too.

I wish I could make it, I haven't been to Placerville in over 3 years, I used to live in Sacto. but allways liked Old Hangtown.

Does that waffle shop serve "Hangtown Omelettes"? They have 'em here in Morro Bay, and every time I order one, I think of P-Ville! Couldn't find a weekend when it's foggy could ya? Then I'll think of Morro Bay:D

Ok gang, I have been told the weekend of July 13/14 is a truck pull in Sonora, so that's not a good weekend. So... . any of the others are better it seems.

Doubleclutch, I can't remember if they have Hangtown Omlettes, but I'll check when we get this breakfast scheduled :D

UPDATE

Lets do this on Saturday August 3rd. Lets say 10AM, as I know some people from a distance might be interested in coming to this.

If you are interested, PLEASE let me know, either by replying here, or sending me a direct email -- email address removed -- so I can get some idea of the number of folks coming. I have had a lot more people email me already than I would have expected, and I want to make sure this restaurant can handle however many show up.

Directions:

Take highway 50 through Placerville. On the east end of town, exit at Schnell School Road. Go south about 50 - 100 yards to Braodway, turn left (east). The Waffle Shop is about 200 - 400 yards on your left, across the street from Grocery Warehouse, etc. .

I look forward to seeing you all there.

Yet Another Update

Ok, change number 835021734. 123

Since I have heard from a fairly large number of folks who are planning to come for this event, many from a fair distance, it was suggested by someone that we move this to Bradshaws Restaurant off highway 50 and then go to the Sac drag strip for some smoke induced fun afterwards. So... ... ... Let's do that!!

We will now meet at 9AM (drag racing is from 10AM - 4PM) at Bradshaws restaurant for breakfast.

Directions: On highway 50 near Mather Field (West of Sunrise Blvd. , Mather Field Rd. , East of Watt Ave) exit 50 on Bradshaw Road, going south. As soon as you are on the south side of the actual freeway, turn right on Micron Drive, which is the very first light south of 50. Bradshaw's restaurant is immediately on the right. Can't miss it.

Drag racing costs $40 per vehicle, to just watch is I think $10 or maybe slightly less. For track info go to www.sacramentoraceway.com

Let me know if you have any questions. -- email address removed --

Tom:

It's OK to name NAMES HERE!!!!!

I will take either the heat or the credit for suggesting that you guys move the event down the hill.

The guys who have done this before know where Bradshaws is and the drag strip is just down the road and around the corner.

It will be a lot of fun, we will get a lot of support from the folks on Diesel central, too bad we can't get any support from Ford diesel.com, guess those folks are a bunch of prima donnas.

anyway, we will be there and will have the big 16X20 canopy in the truck, with a little help from all we can set it up in no time at all

THANKS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED, HELPED OR SUPPORTED THE NORCAL!!!!!!

Hey NorCal, The wife and son and I will be in Placerville this weekend visting friends, we might drop in and say hello. Coming from Victorville but wont be driving CTD We'll be in the T&C minivan and no it's not bombed. Hope to see you all on the 3rd.

Hey Rory,

Good to see some High Desert folks on board. My folks live out between Barstow and Yermo. I served 3 years at Fort Irwin back in the late 1980's. I live just outside Placerville now, this event is all going to be down in Sacramento though. Email me directly if you'd like directions to the restaurant where we're having lunch.
