plannig 2 buy 05 or newer cummins need advice

I am a new subscriber and plan 2 buy an 05 or newer cummins and would like some advice! I am really interested in the TST CR and just want 2 get some tips on exhaust and air and what steps i should take! I have gauges already in mind!

all depends on what you want to do with it. but your on the right track with gauges. recommend fuel gauge too even though the pump is in the tank. mine could pull the psi down to 3 before i put on my pusher pump. there are plenty of goodies out there for these trucks. i don't think they changed much for the powertrain on the 06's, have looked into it that much yet. best of luck finding your truck.

06 has much better 48re trans as far as controlling the gear selection. You cant permanently lockout 4th in the o5s you can in the 06.

Used 05's can be more expensive than new 06's if you look at financing of used vs. new. Also, manufacturer sales and vehicle warranty.



I was looking at buying used 03'-05'. It was only $2-$3000 more to buy an 06' Megacab with zero mileage and full warranty. When financing is included price is about the same.
