This connection that goes from the top of the passenger side of the block and goes to the heater core is leaking… Again. I’ve replaced it twice. I’ve cleaned the o-rings & the surface. Still leaking. Has anyone sourced a 90 degree elbow to fix this permanently or maybe a adequate length hose with a 90 in it?
Anyone know the thread size going into the block?
Any ideas are appreciated.

Instead of replacing it with another failure prone part I’d walk through the plumbing and fitting isle of your favorite home improvement store and piece together a riser, 90 degree elbow and brass barb fitting that will last the life of your truck.

that’s what I was hoping to do. Any idea what size pipe fitting it is that goes into the block?

From the photo it might be 3/8" NPT. 1/2" NPT would be close to 3/4" OD. I'd pull and match or at least measure it to be sure. Nothing worse than several trips back and forth to the store.

The connection piece of a third Gen (5.9) has a hose Barb on the top end so you can attach a hose with a rubber elbow.
