2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins, 180.000 miles.

The plastic pin that allows the slave cylinder pushrod to attach to the back of the clutch pedal snapped. I ordered some replacements online, about $2.50 each. In the meantime I used a 7/16" x 2 1/2" bolt and some grease which fits perfectly. I'd like to leave it in long term but not sure if the bolt instead of the plastic pin will cause extra wear to the pushrod where it attaches to the back of the clutch pedal.

I got the idea from a closed thread on this forum. Thanks @CLaVasseur

Wow, never heard of them snapping. I did take mine apart last summer to find a squeak and I found one of the bushings was worn.
I wonder if pin breakage is a sign that the MC is binding, worn or what ever.
